C2001 - General accounting: current operations

Target audience

Beginners. Anyone who wants to learn how accounting works.

Objectives

  • Master the logic of double entry accounting and understand the accounting system.
  • Understanding the balance sheet structure and distinguishing a company's assets and liabilities.
  • Identify the results (profits and losses) of the company.
  • Establish the journal, the general ledger, the trial balance, the profit and loss account and the balance sheet.
  • Master the accounts and the Luxembourg chart of accounts.
  • Prepare the accounting for transactions and invoices.
  • Understanding the VAT mechanism on transactions.    
  • Know the accounting standards.
  • Accounting for payroll.
