What is the LLLC?

At the crossroads of formal education, lifelong learning, and the workplace, the Luxembourg Lifelong Learning Centre (LLLC)—the continuing education arm of the Chamber of Employees (Chambre des Salariés – CSL)—offers training programs tailored to the needs and aspirations of the working people.

The LLLC’s training programmes are guided by a simple set of aims:

  • helping learners:
    • strengthen their chances for promotion and career growth.
    • gain the tools to secure their current job or move into a new field.
  • encouraging a win-win approach to management across companies and organisations, while easing the pressures and strains that can arise at work.

High-quality Training Shaped by Society’s Needs

Continuing education reaches far beyond the economy or the job market. It also sustains citizenship and supports human development.

The Luxembourg Lifelong Learning Centre has, for more than five decades, stood as a key institution in Luxembourg’s education landscape.

A Broad Range of Courses

The LLLC offers a wide range of training programmes in several languages across the country.

Its course catalogue constantly evolves to reflect the needs of employees and the labour market, with options including evening classes, seminars, university-level programmes, specialised courses, training for seniors, and internationally recognised certifications.

Accessible Prices

True to its mission, the LLLC has maintained moderate pricing since 1971, ensuring that anyone can take part in its courses.

Recognised Diplomas and Certifications

Diplomas and certificates from the evening courses are issued jointly by the Ministry of Education, Children and Youth, and by the CSL, and are recognised by both institutions.

Through partnerships with universities, the LLLC also offers degree programmes at Bachelor (Bac+3) and Master (Bac+5) level. These degrees are awarded by the partner universities, without reference to the place of study.

Public Support

The LLLC’s training programmes are eligible for public support measures such as individual training leave and co-funding for in-company training plans.
