Training Leave and Work-Time Arrangements

Individual Training Leave

  • Paid leave covering one third of the time invested in continuing training.
  • Applies to various activities: attending classes, exams, writing a thesis, etc.
  • Maximum of 80 days over an entire career (up to 20 days over two years).

  • Paid leave dedicated to learning or improving Luxembourgish.
  • Maximum of 200 hours over a professional career.

  • Unpaid leave allowing a temporary suspension of the employment contract.

  • Up to 6 consecutive months (can be accumulated up to a maximum of 2 years per employer).
