C2014 - Advanced level of fund accounting

Public cible

Anyone wishing to develop and apply their accounting skills on fund (UCITS and Alternatives).

Objectives

Ensure mastery of the key concepts of the UCITS NAV calculation as per the prerequisite module.
Gain knowledge on accounting phases for derivatives in UCITS.
Acquire understanding of different calculation methods and relating accounting records for the Funds and investors of the performance fees and Waterfalls in UCITS.
Calculate the Total Net Asset Value and the Net Asset value of UCITS including all type of transactions on capital and portfolio.
Understand the main types of Alternative Investment Funds (Real Estate, Private Equity, Debt Funds, Fund of funds, etc) and the main differences with UCITS in terms of accounting and NAV calculation, as well as on transactions on capital.
Calculate the Total Net Asset Value and the Net Asset value of AIF including all type of transactions on capital and portfolio.

Prerequisites

Successful completion of the module "Introduction to fund accounting" (C2013) or proof of equivalent certified knowledge. It is also recommended to have a good knowledge and practice in fund accounting for UCITS and deep knowledge in Funds (UCITS and Alternative Investment Funds).
