Cisco Networking Academy: In-person daytime courses

Introduction

As an official Cisco Networking Academy in Luxembourg, the Luxembourg Lifelong Learning Centre (LLLC) offers in-person daytime programmes in networking, IT support and cybersecurity. The modular format provides a fast, focused route to job-ready digital skills, allowing participants to follow a full pathway or target specific skills gaps. The courses are delivered in English and are designed for newcomers to IT, professionals updating or expanding their expertise, career changers, and organisations developing their teams. Each module comprises 70 classroom hours, delivered over seven sessions held on the same weekday each week (excluding school holidays), plus an average of two to three hours of self-paced study per week.

Training takes place in fully equipped LLLC classrooms, where participants use professional equipment (including routers, switches, racks and PCs) to complete labs, simulations and technical exercises. Certified instructors combine hands-on learning with Cisco Networking Academy’s interactive resources and simulation tools. Content is regularly updated to reflect developments in networking, cybersecurity and artificial intelligence, and can support preparation for industry-recognised Cisco certifications.

Certification preparation and digital badges

The programmes are designed to prepare participants for industry-recognised Cisco certifications, including:

  • CCST Networking
  • CCNA Networking
  • CCNA Cybersecurity
  • Ethical Hacking

On successful completion of a module, participants receive a digital badge that recognises their achievement and can be shared on professional networks to increase the visibility of their skills. To obtain the badge, participants must complete all required practical labs and exercises and pass the final assessment.

The Networking Support Module provides an intermediate pathway towards IT support roles and preparation for the CCST Networking certification. This beginner-friendly module provides the essential foundation for progressing to subsequent modules or completing a full learning pathway.
The three CCNA modules provide a more advanced networking pathway and prepare participants for the Cisco CCNA certification exam :

  • Module 1 – Introduction to Networks: introduces core networking concepts and progressively develops essential technical skills.
  • Module 2 – Switching, Routing, and Wireless Essentials: focuses on practical, workforce-ready skills in switching, routing and wireless technologies.
  • Module 3 – Enterprise Networking, Security, and Automation: addresses enterprise networking, security and automation, and prepares participants for the Cisco CCNA certification exam.

The Cybersecurity Analyst Module prepares participants for Security Operations Center (SOC) responsibilities. Participants learn to analyse network protocols, monitor attacks and investigate endpoint vulnerabilities.

The Ethical Hacker Module develops ethical hacking and penetration-testing skills through realistic, hands-on laboratory activities. It enables participants to identify vulnerabilities and respond to modern cybersecurity challenges.
