Cisco Networking Academy evening classes

Building on more than 20 years of partnership with Cisco Networking Academy, the Luxembourg Lifelong Learning Centre (LLLC) offers evening courses designed to support the development of in-demand IT skills alongside professional activity or other daytime commitments.

Designed for people entering the IT sector as well as IT professionals wishing to update, deepen their expertise, the programmes cover IT support, networking, enterprise networking, cybersecurity, security operations and network automation. Depending on the selected path, participants can gain a solid technical foundation or focus on a specific area of specialisation.

Practical, hands-on learning

Cisco Networking Academy courses at the LLLC place practical learning at the centre of the experience. Theoretical concepts are applied directly through practical labs, configuration exercises and simulations. Participants work with real IT equipment, including routers, switches, racks and PCs, to develop the ability to configure systems, analyse issues and implement solutions in realistic professional environments.

Recognition of learning

Participants who complete all courses within a full learning path may obtain a diploma jointly issued by the Ministry of Education and the Chambre des salariés (CSL).

In addition, Cisco digital badges are awarded for each Cisco Networking Academy course successfully completed. These badges provide a verifiable record of the skills acquired throughout the programme.

Structured learning paths

The learning paths combine several specialised Cisco courses into coherent programmes. They enable participants to build their skills efficiently, from fundamental concepts to advanced technical expertise. While they are centred on Cisco Networking Academy content, certain learning paths also include courses that are not directly part of the Cisco curriculum but are complementary.

The evening-course offer is organised around several routes, allowing participants to select a path corresponding to their existing knowledge, career objectives and desired specialisation. Those new to IT can begin with the fundamentals while professionals with relevant experience may join at an appropriate level to consolidate existing competencies or acquire more specialised skills.

IT support provides a natural entry point for those starting in the field, covering essential topics such as hardware, operating systems, connectivity and troubleshooting. From there, learning can progress towards two main areas:

  • Networking, from network administration to enterprise networking and network automation.
  • Cybersecurity, from core security knowledge to security operations.

Before registration, participants are encouraged to consult the prerequisites and course descriptions for each learning path to identify the most appropriate entry point. Browse the individual learning paths below to discover the available courses, programme content, entry requirements and upcoming evening-class sessions.
