Target audience
Anyone wishing to develop professional Linux administration skills and prepare for enterprise infrastructure roles. Ideal for those who completed “Linux Essentials” or (have equivalent experience), strengthening system installation, storage, networking, security, automation, and troubleshooting. Also supports system administration, technical support, infrastructure, and cybersecurity roles in expanding core Linux expertise.
Objectives
- Install and configure Linux systems using industry best practices, including system startup, package management, and software repositories.
- Manage Linux storage, filesystems, partitions, logical volumes, and persistent mounts in enterprise environments.
- Configure Linux networking, DNS, routing, and system services to support reliable and secure operations.
- Administer users, groups, authentication mechanisms, permissions, and secure remote access using Linux administration best practices.
- Develop Bash scripts and automate routine administrative tasks using scheduling tools such as cron and at.
- Troubleshoot Linux systems by analysing logs, diagnosing service failures, and applying structured problem-solving methodologies.
- Operate Linux servers in production-like environments by performing installation, configuration, maintenance, security hardening, and operational support tasks.
