Linux I&II Certification Exam Registration Fee:

  • the “LPIC-1 Exam 101 , Part 1 of 2, version 5.0”: 160 € (Linux I)
  • the LPIC-1 Exam 102 , Part 2 of 2, version 5.0″: 160 € (Linux II)
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS Either:

  • have successfully completed the NDG Linux Essentials course or an equivalent course
  • have passed the entrance test to this course

Objectives

NDG Linux I:

This course is designed for aspiring, career-minded Linux system administrators, who want to advance their skills and prepare for either the LPIC-1 or CompTIA Linux+ Certifications. NDG Linux I provides hands-on labs and activities, ensuring that you grow your expertise. Expect to perform maintenance tasks on the command line, install and configure a computer running Linux, and configure basic networking, using virtual machines running Linux.

The concepts in this course are covered at a more challenging pace than in NDG Linux Essentials. This is the first course in a 2-course series with NDG Linux II.

NDG Linux II:

It’s easy to believe that Linux has been around since the mid-90s, especially, considering its wide adoption across products, markets and industries. Further mastering Linux installation, configuring and maintenance is key to positioning yourself well and securing the IT administrator job of your choice. This is the second course in a 2-course series.

Target audience

NDG Linux I: Anyone who already has the basics of the Linux system and wants to improve their skills in this Linux operating system

NDG Linux II: Anyone with Linux skills who wants to deepen their knowledge of the Linux operating system.

Admission requirements

To enroll in this course, candidates must first have taken the “NDG Linux Essentials” course or an equivalent course, or have passed a test to validate the skills needed to take this course.

Organisation and programme

Organisation

The training lasts approximately 70 hours, usually on:

  • Mondays and Tuesdays (all day) for the NDG Linux I course
  • Thursdays and Fridays (all day) for the NDG Linux II course

Training hours (subject to change):

  • 9am-4:30pm.

The pedagogical method emphasizes on the know-how as well as on the skills. It aims to develop, thanks to the transversal approach and the alternating system, the knowledge and greater autonomy essential to their professional practice.

This training combines theoretical contributions and practical exercises in the laboratory, as well as in e-learning on the CiscoNetAcademy platform.

NDG Linux II

  • Augment your basic knowledge to become skilled in the Linux command line.
  • Configure basic networking, using virtual machines running Linux.
  • Perform scripting and data management; learn about interfaces, networking fundamentals and security.
  • Prepare for either certification LPIC-1 (Exam 102) or CompTIA Linux+ powered by LPI.

Certification

Upon successful completion of all sessions, the candidate will be awarded a certificate of completion and a statement of attendance.

The world’s largest and most recognized Linux certification. LPIC-1 is the first certification in the multi-level Linux professional certification program of the Linux Professional Institute (LPI). The LPIC-1 will validate the candidate’s ability to perform maintenance tasks on the command line, install and configure a computer running Linux and configure basic networking.
