Quality of Work Index 2024 with an overview of the mental health of workers and the promotion of health at work
Data collection for the 2024 edition of the Quality of work Index Luxembourg survey by the Luxembourg Chamber of employees (CSL), in cooperation with the University of Luxembourg, has already begun. As in previous years, the infas Institut für angewandte Sozialwissenschaften (Bonn, Germany) has been commissioned to collect data on working conditions and employee well-being in the Grand Duchy. This year, we are looking more specifically at the different facets of workers’ mental health and the promotion of health at work in companies.
Around 14,000 people will be contacted between June and September 2024.
Some 2,000 people from the panel were contacted for telephone interviews. In addition, 14,000 people were randomly selected by the General Inspectorate of Social Security (IGSS) from the official directory. They will receive a letter inviting them to take part in the survey. They then have the choice of conducting a telephone interview or completing the questionnaire online. Participation is,
of course, voluntary. The results of the survey will be analysed and presented strictly anonymously (i.e. without names or contact details). The survey takes around twenty minutes to complete. The survey is aimed at workers aged 16 to 64 who regularly work at least 10 hours a week and who live in Luxembourg or are cross-border workers from Germany, France or Belgium.
For the Chamber of employees (CSL), it is very important to have reliable information to scrutinise the constantly changing working conditions of workers, so that we can take action to improve their situation. We are counting on the support of those contacted to contribute their experiences and assessments to this survey, and would like to thank them in advance.
